t’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman! No… it’s a Ferris Wheel Press fountain pen! ✨ Friends, today I’m thrilled to share with you the fabulous experience of receiving and trying out the Marquise Fountain Pen—my favorite pen so far.

This pen is part of the officially licensed Warner Bros. Discovery collection, included in the Superman Pen & Ink Set, inspired by the movie released in the summer of 2025. The collection features three sets, each designed with colors and details that highlight different qualities of the superhero:
• Fortress of Solitude
• The Voice of Metropolis
• A View from Above
Each set includes the Marquise Fountain Pen and a 28ml bottle of water-based ink. A View from Above comes with Heroic Blue, a deep blue ink with golden shimmer.
The pen itself is crafted in aluminum, finished in blue, with a sleek hexagonal body that aligns perfectly with the cap for a striking visual effect when uncapped. The grip is engraved with artwork tied to the theme of each set—here, Superman gazing at Earth from space. Its 0.7 mm steel nib is gold-plated and engraved with the emblem of the House of El. The nibs are interchangeable, so you can switch sizes (though additional nibs aren’t part of the Superman collection).
From the moment you hold it, you feel the power of this writing tool. Personally, I love writing with heavier pens, and the Marquise has the perfect weight—something I always look for in my tools. Its hexagonal design makes it ergonomic and comfortable in hand. The cap isn’t designed to post onto the back of the pen, so it’s best to keep an eye on it while writing.
You’ll absolutely love writing with this pen! The nib feels smooth and glides effortlessly across the page. It’s a true pleasure to use, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it in your daily writing. Beautiful, elegant, and eye-catching—it will never go unnoticed wherever you bring it.

Refilling the ink is simple, and Ferris Wheel Press provides recommendations for nib changes, cleaning, and care on their website. The only thing I would add to the set is a storage sleeve, similar to those included in other FWP collections, to store and protect the pen.
I’ve seen other writing brands release licensed collections where the price goes up, but essentially you’re just getting the same basic product with a different color and logo. Ferris Wheel Press took a different route: they chose one of the best pens in their lineup to bring this collection to life. While the set is priced higher (since it includes both the pen and ink), I can confidently say it’s worth it for the quality, performance, and the fact that it’s a collectible piece that will hold—and possibly increase—its value over time.
To wrap up, just a reminder: always care for your writing instruments. Don’t let ink dry in the nib, and rinse the reservoir with warm water.
Writing down our ideas should be a complete experience—and with Ferris Wheel Press pens and inks, it truly is.
